The Netherlands has long shaped and continues to define our international artistic heritage. For the first time, this ethos is brought together by a new collaboration of three world leading Dutch organisations that represent the heritage and future of Dutch artistic culture – Nederlands Dans Theater, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis. Together, they are the Dutch Masters.
s cultural entrepreneurs, the Dutch Masters constantly seek ways of continuing to fund new initiatives so that they can continue to delight generations of future audiences both in the UK and in the Netherlands. This is why they have created the Dutch Masters Foundation – a London based network of their supporters who share a passion for the Arts, a love of Dutch culture and an interest in socialising with a selected group of like-minded individuals.
Each of the three Dutch Masters is firmly committed to being at the forefront of their art form. With increased pressure on resources and with arts sponsorship being increasingly difficult to secure in the current economic climate, never has individual philanthropic support been more valuable.
An increase in funding will enable the artistic Masters to ensure that they maintain their world-leading positions within their individual disciplines and continue to engage audiences for generations to come. Specifically for Nederlands Dans Theater; support generated from the Dutch Masters Fund, will contribute toProject by Nederlands Dans Theater, a new initiative that will support national and international collaborations between dance and a diverse array of disciplines from the Arts and sciences, with the aim of challenging the perspectives of artists and audiences alike. Essentially, Project will drive continued research and development for Nederlands Dans Theater, ensuring that the company continues to engage with new audiences and maintains its world-class status.
