Solo

Solo is a six minute ballet that master choreographer Hans van Manen made in 1997 for Nederlands Dans Theater II. Solo is about a man who full of dazzling energy considers his place in the world. Solo is an incredibly fast ballet, perfectly set to Johann Sebastian Bach’s violin partita, which requires very sharp timing.  This is why the ballet can only be danced by three dancers taking turns.
