From August 5 until August 17 2013, NDT will organize a new edition of ‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’. Our annual summer course, structured upon our artistic vision and objectives as a contemporary dance company. Approximately  60 (pre)professional dancers in the age-range of 14 - 30 years, will eventually be selected to visit our company for two intensive weeks. They will have the opportunity to experience the knowledge, inspiration and passion of our artistic team while working side by side with our dancers. Registration for the course will open on Monday January 14, 2013.               

Program
‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ offers a unique experience in the atmosphere and surroundings of our company’s home. In our studios the participants will take part in a professional and intensive training program. This program is aimed at the development towards a complete and versatile contemporary dancer and will be overseen by our international artistic team of choreographers and teachers. The repertoire of Nederlands Dans Theater’s resident and associate choreographers forms the basis of this two weeks course. This will be combined with the creation of a new work by one of our upcoming NDT-affiliated choreographers. The program is completed with ballet classes, Ohad Naharin’s Gaga technique classes and improvisation workshops, creating a structure very similar to the training of our dancers.           

To create an even more complete experience, ‘Nederlands Dans Theater Summer Intensive’ also offers a special auxiliary program including master classes and various discussion topics. All extra activities are related to NDT and its history within the field of contemporary dance.
