Robert van Leer leaves NDT
Business director Robert van Leer returns to his home base in London this September. Under his responsibility the company experienced solid growth and strengthened its international position. The Supervisory Board is considering the appointment of a successor.
"It was a great honor to be part of NDT. I am proud of the progress we have achieved regarding cultural entrepreneurship and international cultural leadership. My decision to leave is of a personal nature. I feel very involved in the company and will continue to do so in the future."
Since Van Leer took office in May 2011 NDT doubled its income from sponsorship and fundraising and developed sustainable partnerships with New York (Joyce Theatre), Singapore (The Esplanade), Saint Petersburg (Mariinsky Theatre) and Rio de Janeiro.
Artistic director Paul Lightfoot regrets the departure of his partner in crime, but understands his decision and is very grateful for the accomplished successes. Lightfoot would like to continue working with Van Leer on an advisory level.
