NDT 2 presents Falling into Shadow: a programme featuring a world premiere by Botis Seva, Wir Sagen uns Dunkles by Marco Goecke and Walking Mad by Johan Inger. To be seen from March 27 onwards in various Dutch theatres.

Together with Stichting de Vrolijkheid, we provide dance education for children and young people in refugee centres throughout the Netherlands. Not only does this give them a connection to culture, but it also creates an opportunity for positive engagement with others. Each series of workshops begins with a choreography danced by (former) NDT dancers before giving the children themselves a chance to move, step by step, at their own pace. We make sure to create a calm and safe environment so they can feel more at home in the Netherlands and in their own bodies. In this way, we help them to claim their own space and find their own way.
Together with several MBO dance schools, we organize impactful choreography projects across the Netherlands, specifically designed for young people. Young residents of refugee centres will create their own dance performance in one week, guided by two talented dance makers affiliated.
