Marc Pil, new Managing Director: Nederlands Dans Theater

After careful consideration and a competitive process, Marc Pil will become the new Managing Director of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) from 1 January 2025, succeeding Willemijn Maas, who held the role since 1 May 2019. Pil will lead the business management, working closely alongside Artistic Director Emily Molnar. An intensive recruitment process took place, and the appointment of Marc Pil received broad support from the Supervisory Board and Works Council.

Meeting the complex demands of leadership, governance, and business management, he is poised to lead us confidently into this new chapter. Pil demonstrates rich experience, expertise, and passion for the arts and has built a varied portfolio of 15 years of experience in various roles within the cultural sector. He comes to NDT from Jakop Ahlbom Company, where he currently serves as their Managing Director.
