Rachelle Scott

Rachelle Scott received her dance training from the Alvin Ailey School and the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music, Art & the Performing Arts in NYC. At the end of her high school studies, she received the YoungARTS/New York Regional Award in Dance and the Eiger Scholarship Award. Rachelle went on to attend The Juilliard School, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.

After graduating from Juilliard, Rachelle became a member of the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York City, a soloist dancer with Nürnberg Ballett Staatstheater in Germany, and is a current member of Theater Basel in Switzerland. Throughout her dance career, she has danced works by Hofesh Shechter, Sharon Eyal, Alexander Ekman, Richard Wherlock, Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite, Sidi Larbi, Andonis Foniadakis, Goyo Montero, Johan Inger, Jiří Kylián, among others. For her achievements in Dance and the Performing arts, Rachelle is a recipient of the Princess Grace Award from the United States and the Bavarian Arts Prize from Germany.

Her new creation for the NDT 2 programme Up & Coming Choreographers in 2026 marks Scott’s first collaboration with the company.
